One of the challenges CEOs face is,, when choosing from multiple ideas, that the best idea is selected. What makes this especially difficult is our natural tendency to shoot arrows at all new ideas.

In this short video, I'm going to teach you a methodology that eliminates the negativity, AND, at the same time, strengthens the idea that is selected.  I hope you like it.

One of the things I've learned in all my years in business is that communication is probably the most important thing to success. It rules everything. And on top of that, one of the things that I've seen over and over again is what happens when somebody presents a new and radical idea.

You guys already know the answer because you've seen it. Everybody tries to shoot down the idea, and that is a killer. So I'm going to teach you a way to fix this. And I'm going to do this by telling you a story about somebody. I used to work with. One of my cofounders. I'm going to call him Randy. Hi Randy,You know who you are.

And one day, Randy was presenting to me and the management team options for us to choose from for a solution that we needed inside of the company management solution we needed.

And he said, "Here's option A, it won't work because of this, this, this. And this here's option B. It won't work because of this, this, this, and this. And here's option C what was option C? It was the rabbit out of the hat. And here's why it will work.

Well, that's not the way you want to conduct your management meetings. So here's the better way. Here's the smarter way. Don't be like, Randy,. Here's the better way to do it. What you do is you say here's option A and you challenge everybody. Here's why it will work. Here's the things that we need in place for this to work for option A, to work. And you challenge everybody in the audience the same way.

We're not going to talk about why it won't work. I'm going to talk about why and what needs to be in place for option A to work, option B to work, and option C to work. it's a much better and smarter way to look at how you attack problems rather than option A will fail, option B will fail.

No, instead here's the conditions we need in place for this to work. Then it gives you optionality and choices. Try it. It radicalizes everything in a really positive way. I'm, Brett at Brett@brettjfox..Com. Have a great, great day.
