How To Fix Your Business And Scale To An Exit
You crossed a million dollars in revenue. You got there on sheer will. You outworked everyone. You made every important decision yourself, and you were usually right.
So you kept doing what worked.
But somewhere along the way, the same thing that got you here started working against you. The harder you push, the more the company leans on you. And the gap between what you can do personally and what your company can do without you keeps getting wider.
I've been there. I've grown businesses from zero to over $100 million, more than once, and I've raised over $100 million in venture capital and private equity along the way. I've also failed, and I've learned more from the failures than the wins. For the last eleven years I've been helping CEOs do what I did, find the gap before it becomes the ceiling, and close it.
Here's what working together looks like.
In the first 30 days, you'll know exactly where the gaps are, in your team, your revenue, and your execution, and you'll have a specific, prioritized plan, sequenced by budget, leverage, and practicality, for closing them.
Then you start making changes, one at a time. Each change frees up time, capacity, or capability that gets reinvested into the next change.
The destination is a team that operates on its own. You're no longer the bottleneck. You're spending your time on what only you can do, leading the company toward an exit or IPO.
We'll work across three areas.
Team. Right now, everything depends on you. Can your leadership team make a real decision without you? Or does every important call still come back to your desk? The goal is a leadership layer that decides, not just executes, and a hiring process with a high enough hit rate that your team gets stronger over time, not weaker.
Revenue. Right now, revenue depends on you. If you stopped selling tomorrow, what would your pipeline look like in 90 days? The goal is a pipeline that generates qualified opportunities without your personal involvement, and at least one person on your team who can close deals without you in the room.
Execution. Right now, nothing happens without you. When something goes wrong, are you the first to know, or the last? The goal is a company that runs on a rhythm it owns, where problems surface to you already half solved instead of landing on your desk cold.
Here's how we work together.
Every call is recorded, with detailed notes and a clear action plan, so nothing gets lost between sessions.
We'll meet at least 12 times over 26 weeks, with no maximum, when you need more support, you get it. And when something urgent comes up, a key hire falls through, a deal is at risk, a difficult situation escalates, you can reach me.
I don't charge extra for the normal fires every CEO deals with.
This is for CEOs who've crossed a million dollars in revenue and can feel the gap I just described. You know it's there. You may not have had the language for it until now.
Space is extremely limited. When I have openings, they go quickly.
If this is you, let's talk.
I review every application personally and respond within one business day.
