Is Your Business Stuck? Maybe I Can Help.
No spots available in September. One spot to work with me available in October.
Your business has peaked. Or worse, it's started going backwards.
You crossed a $1 million in revenue. You should feel like you're winning. Instead, you're working harder than you ever have.
Every important decision still comes back to you. Your team waits for you. Revenue depends on you. Taking a real vacation is theoretical.
And there are so many things you could work on. Should you put more money into sales? Do you need a better marketing plan? Do you need to overhaul your team?
And There's No One To Talk About It With
Everyone you work with has an agenda. Your team reports to you, so it makes it difficult to confide in them. It’s unfair to unload your burden on your spouse. And your friends mean well, but they never been CEO.
That's Where I Come In
It's my job to help you get your business unstuck.
If you're the CEO of a company with annual revenue between $1 Million and $10 Million, and you're struggling with unsticking your business, and your team isn't strong enough or every key decision falls back on you, then keep reading.
If your business is under $1 Million, then my 1:1 Coaching is not for you. And I don’t want to waste your time.
What We'll Accomplish In The First 30 Days Working Together
In the first 30 days, you'll know exactly where the gaps are, in your team, your revenue, and your execution, and you'll have a specific, prioritized plan, sequenced by budget, leverage, and practicality, for closing them.
For example, Chris urgently needed help with a co-founder issue. We fixed that issue in two weeks.
We've now been working together for nine years. I helped him take his first company from an $80,000 investment to a $100 million exit.
We're working on his second company now.
The Good News Is There's A Process For Unsticking Your Business
I've been unsticking businesses for more than twenty years.
One of the first was a division of Maxim Integrated Products whose revenue had been stuck at about $8 million a year for two years. I took over the business, changed the team, marketing, and product strategy, and grew it to more than $120 million a year.
Next, I took on another Maxim division and used the same process, adding what I'd learned the first time.
That business grew from about $12 million a year to more than $100 million a year.
Later, I joined Micrel and inherited a division that had fallen from roughly $100 million a year in revenue to $10 million.
Morale was gone and revenue was still falling.
Three years later, it had gone from the worst performing division in the company to the most profitable.
Then I took what I'd learned and used it to build my own company, Touchstone Semiconductor.
We introduced more products and grew to 1,000 customers faster than any similar company had in twenty years.
Then I Started Helping Other CEOs Unstick Their Businesses
After Touchstone sold, I started answering questions about running companies on Quora. People started asking me to help them unstick their own businesses.
That was eleven years ago.
Since then, I’ve worked with CEOs in industries including software, healthcare, industrial technology, and research.
James has been working with me for eight years. His medical group is now past $100 million in revenue. It was a fraction of that when we started.
And there are many more.
Some of the people I work with include the CEO of a software company in Singapore, the CEOs of medical practices in New York and San Francisco, the CEO of an industrial software business in Phoenix, and the CEO of a research firm in Alaska.
Most of these founders never raised venture capital and never will.
Most coaching relationships are measured in months.
Mine are measured in years.
Here's What Working Together Looks Like
After the first 30 days working with me, you'll start making changes, one at a time. Each change frees up time, capacity, or capability that gets reinvested into the next change.
The destination is a team that operates on its own. You're no longer the bottleneck. You're spending your time on what only you can do, leading the company toward an exit or IPO.
We'll work across three areas.
Team. Right now, everything depends on you. Can your leadership team make a real decision without you? Or does every important call still come back to your desk? The goal is a leadership layer that decides, not just executes, and a hiring process with a high enough hit rate that your team gets stronger over time, not weaker.
Revenue. Right now, revenue depends on you. If you stopped selling tomorrow, what would your pipeline look like in 90 days? The goal is a pipeline that generates qualified opportunities without your personal involvement, and at least one person on your team who can close deals without you in the room.
Execution. Right now, nothing happens without you. When something goes wrong, are you the first to know, or the last? The goal is a company that runs on a rhythm it owns, where problems surface to you already half solved instead of landing on your desk cold.
Payment Options
We work together in six month commitments. You can pay upfront or monthly. Many times, these relationships last years.
You can apply to talk to me by clicking the button below. During our call, we'll make sure working together is a fit for both of us.
30 Day Love It Or Leave It Guarantee
If, after 30 days, you don't believe working together is going to help you get your business unstuck, tell me.
The first month is non-refundable. However, I'll rip up the contract for the rest, and we'll part company as friends.
Plus You Get This
The CEO Batphone. When a real CEO fire breaks out, a key hire falls through, a deal is at risk, or a difficult situation escalates, you can reach me. You don't have to wait for the next scheduled call.
Executive Action Notes. Every call is recorded, with detailed notes and a clear action plan, so nothing gets lost and you always know what happens next.
Extra Sessions When You Need Them. We'll meet at least 12 times over 26 weeks, but there's no maximum. If something needs more attention, we deal with it.
I don't charge extra for the normal fires every CEO deals with.
Think of me as being on retainer.
This is for CEOs who've crossed a million dollars in revenue and can feel the gap I just described. You know it's there. You may not have had the language for it until now.
If this is you, let's talk.
I have one spot available in October.
When it's filled, I'll close 1:1 Coaching again.
